Thursday, June 28th, Macy  A week ago, we went to Fort Delaware an island off of Delaware City. Fort Delaware is the place where the Civil War soldiers made a lookout place for enemy ships. We spent the whole day there learning about Delaware History.  Along with the employees being dressed up like the people that lived in that time,we got to experience a cannon being fired in real life!  Macy,Lilia, Hadley in front of a cannon! Friday, June 22, 2018, Robin  As Hadley mentioned, the girls are enrolled in FAME for six weeks of their summer.  It's a fantastic program that Kendal was also a part of as a student.  At orientation on Monday, it was made clear that the students were committing themselves to academic success by attending FAME -- that this wasn't a summer camp and they were going to have to work hard.    So in return, I committed to the girls that I would not work on Fridays and we would fill each Friday with summer fun.  Today was our first Fun Friday and while on our way to Fort Delaware, we decid ed it would be fun to create a blog of Summer 2018. June 22, 2018, Hadley On Monday, June 18th, 2018, our family enrolled us in a summer school/camp called F.A.M.E, It stands for; forums of advancement for minorities in engineering. It is like school with free lunch and breakfast! There is Homeroom, Math, Science Lecture, Science Lab, Tech, and ELA.  On Tuesday, the teachers talked to us about group projects! We would choose a topic and be put in a group with others who wanted to do the same!  Then, Wednesday, we took a survey of what we wanted to do! In the afternoon we got little slips of paper telling us what room and teacher we had. I got water treatment!
